Tough day at the office against Hammarby

Plebs went into the match against Hammarby hoping to build on some encouraging play during the close loss to Erikslund the week before. They started very well, putting Hammarby under pressure in their own half. Fullback Zeb slotted a penalty to put Plebs 3-0 up. Plebs continued to dominate, and after some great phase play, Anton went over to score a brilliant team try. Zeb kicked the conversion to put Plebs in front 10-0. It was then that the downward spiral started. From being on the front foot and battering away at the opposition line, unfortunate mistakes started occuring. Panda thought he had scored, but in stretching out to put the ball down, he mistook the 5 m line for the try line. Hammarby promptly stole the ball and ran the length of the pitch to score. Missed tackles, poor decision-making, and dropped balls from the home team crept into the game, and Hammarby scored again to go into halftime 10-14 in front. Plebs kept battling, but something was missing, and they never scored again in the game. Hammarby kept plugging away and scored a further 19 points to make the final score 10-33. Plebs now travel to Gothenburg on Saturday in the playoffs, looking to show improvement or at least have a good night out.
Man of the match was Will for working tirelessly in attack and defense. Dick of the day was Zeb for not knowing the laws of the game.
